The Seventh Northern Ireland Ministry Assembly

The aim of our annual assembly is to encourage preachers. We firmly believe that when the Bible is opened and taught faithfully and relevantly the voice of God is heard in a living and powerful way. We therefore seek to encourage those engaged in preaching to see the exacting work of expounding Scripture as the pressing need in today's church. While the assembly, therefore, is mainly for those in current full-time preaching ministries, others are very welcome, especially students, apprentices and spouses of Christian workers.

Speakers:

Sinclair Ferguson

Redeemer Theological Seminary

Dr Sinclair B. Ferguson is Senior Minister at First Presbyterian Church, Columbia, South Carolina. He also serves as a professor of systematic theology at Redeemer Theological Seminary. He has served as minister of two congregations in Scotland, one in Unst and the other at the centre of Glasgow. He is the author of some two dozen books and has authored numerous articles penned over a long, faithful, and fruitful ministry. Sinclair and his wife Dorothy have three sons, a daughter, three grandsons, and three granddaughters.

Edward Lobb

Cornhill Scotland

Edward Lobb is Director of the Cornhill Training College in Scotland. In full-time ministry since 1976, he has served a number of parishes, most recently St Peter's Stapenhill at Burton-on-Trent. Edward was involved in the very first of Dick Lucas's preaching conferences and has been closely associated with the work of the Proclamation Trust ever since. He remains a regular contributor to their conference program and has a remarkable ability to get across what Scripture says straightforwardly, simply and appealingly.
